I am 80 years old and live in Guadalajara, Mexico. I retired here 15 years ago after making trips here for over 40 years and, needless to say, I love it - the weather, the people, the history. It has been a wonderful experience.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
For many years I taught cooking in my own cooking school, Framers Exchange Cooking School in Santa Cruz, California, at Cabrillo College, at The Univeristy of California Santa Cruz, For the Deprartment of Recreation and was a consumer advisor for Cuisinart. I wrote a monthly food column for the Santa Cruz Sentinel and appeared in cooking segments on Television.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Well, it wasn't really a disaster but I was in a rush and was asked to donate a cake for a local chocolate contest so I tossed together a package of chocolate cake mix, a can of cherry pie filling and some flavorings, baked it and sent it off. To my surprise it was a most requested recipe and, being this high falooten cooking teacher, I had to say it was a seceret and I couldn't give it out.
