About Me
No profile added.
I was brought up in a cooking household. I enjoy cooking for my family and friends. I am a member of a cooking club known as the "Culinary Queens." My favorite meeting is when we have our Christmas Cookie Exchange in December.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
When the kids were busy with their after school actvities I used to bring my crockpot to work, plug it in, let it cook all day, unplug it, pick -up the kids, meet my husband, and then dish up a hot meal for the family at whatever activity they were participating in. I kept my van stocked with paper goods, serving utensils, along with a cooler stocked with juice and water. I decided early on that our family would have family dinners together most nights... even if that meant that the family dinner took place at the soccer field parking lot!
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
My biggest kitchen disaster was when I made a delicious lasanga dinner for my youngest child's birthday. I put the lasagna in the oven, turned the oven on, set the timer for an hour, enjoyed the party, came back an hour later to check on the lasagna, and found out that the oven wasn't working.... I called our local pizza place and had several pizzas delivered for the guests!
My Food For Thought
Teach your children how to cook so that they will know how to nourish their own families someday.
