I'm a sassy, independent, fun lady with a big heart who enjoys life -- I believe in taking time to enjoy the simple things around me. I will stop to take notice of that water mill or that old weathered barn simply because of it's beauty. Too many in today's world are in such a hurry, they fail to stop and enjoy what is around them. Stop to take notice for it will all change in one day. I love my family and friends unconditionally. I don't judge them - I don't always agree with them but I don't judge them. This allows them to be able to open up and talk to me about anything (and only a few times have I groaned when my children did so). I'm loyal to them and will always be there for them, just as they would for me. I am a very blessed lady to have such a wonderful, loving family and group of friends. And many of them are FANTASTIC cooks! Oh, if you want to feast, join us for a meal -- you won't go away unhappy; you'll go away with a fistful of recipes. And if you don't remember anything else about me, remember these two things: "If someone else has breathed easier because you've lived, your life has been a success." AND "BE YOURSELF -- EVERYONE ELSE IS TAKEN!" Especially the last one -- it's so much easier to just be yourself than to try to be someone you aren't; love yourself and others will love you. And those who love you already will love you more. Godspeed!
Preparing Thanksgiving dinner for 26 people in Germany -- my family of four, my mother, and 21 soldiers. What a day. Beautiful memories, fun, love, and laughter just rained down on us that day. Yes, we truly had so much to give thanks for when we said our blessing that day.
Mistaking confectioners sugar for flour when making sausage gravy for guests who had specifically "that southern specialty, sausage gravy" for breakfast. Definitely got the specialty part right! LOL
