About Me
No profile added.
I have been happily married for 25 years to Paul. I have three children, Tom who just celebrated his first anniversary to his wife Brittany, Suzanne who is 22 and my "right hand man" and Taylor who is 18. I have taught 4 year old Pre K for 12 years.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Cooking the rehearsal dinner, the reception food and both the grooms cake and the wedding cake for my son's wedding.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
I had heard of making, then freezing wedding cakes before a wedding years ago when I was first getting into cake decorating. I didn't realize that what was meant to be frozen was the cake itself, not the icing. Two weeks before my first wedding cake, I made the cake, wrapped it up and dutifully stuck it in the freezer. The day before the wedding, I took it out of the freezer and began to transport it 45 minutes south to the wedding in Macon, (it was July in Georgia if you want to factor in the heat level.) I bawled all the way down as roses, then whole sheets of icing fell off the cake. There was nothing to do but stay up all night that night, and redecorate the cake. It turned out well and actually looked better the second time around! It was a long time before I got up the nerve to try making a wedding cake again!
My Food For Thought
From the first breath I drew, to the last one I will ever take, Christ is in control of my life.
