About Me
No profile added.
I'm 50+ (but my "inside age" hovers around 39), divorced, with one grown son. I work in student services at a state university, which presents its own challenges and rewards. Ask me about the students I advise and I will talk your ear off! I'm working on a Master of Public Administration degree and I will be done in May 2009. So I'm pretty busy most of the time. People tell me that I have a terrific sense of humor. I'd like to learn to quilt but I already have a ridiculous amount of cross-stitch stash so can't imagine adding the amount of stash my quilting friends have!
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I baked a loaf of French bread - from scratch! before bread machines! My dad was so amazed by this that he took a picture of me holding the bread! (it was darn good, too - still have the recipe)
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
I have never cooked a turkey with the giblet bag still in it, dropped anything on the floor and served it anyway, or anything like that. I baked a Devil's Food cake for ExDH's birthday one year. The chocolate seized and I had nasty little hard flecks throughout the cake, so started over and went with chocolate fudge!
My Food For Thought
You can have a lot of money, or you can have a lot of stuff, but usually you can't have both!
