About Me: I am 58 years old and grew up in northern Minnesota. Married for 36 years and we live in a log home. Our son and daughter are grown and married and we have a nearly two year old granddaughter, Sophia, who is the light of our lives. I am a chemical dependency counselor and have my own business.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: My greatest cooking triumph was doing the meal for our daughter's wedding in 2003. I had help, of course, but it was a huge project and I am not sure I would do it again! I planned for 200 people which was more than what we needed, but I felt it would be better to be on the heavy side rather than the lean side. Everything went well and I had many compliments on how good the food was.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: Nothing stands out in my mind but there have been several small incidents, especially when I first started cooking early in our marriage. Baking is not my forte and when I don't like something, I don't always do my best at it.

My Food For Thought: Good food, prepared by loving hands, is food not only for the stomach, but also for the mind, heart and soul!
