Hrmm...let's see...I am about to turn 27 years-old and I love to cook-obviously, or I wouldn't be here. I would love to be better at it. Good Eats, Jamie At Home and Iron Chef America are my favorite shows on Food Network. I am a writer, and when I am writing I am my happiest because it is an escape. I do not like fish-will not eat it-no matter what you do to it to get me to like it. It started when I was a child and I saw live fish being taken from a tank and butchered right in front of me, then having my uncle hurl the heads at me because he thought it was funny. Call it emotional trauma, I was about four, those things stick with you.
My greatest cooking triumphs would have to be learning how to make perfect rice. My cooking skills have advanced quite a lot, but that's the one I am most proud of. Like that dude on that show Survivor I can now say YES I CAN COOK RICE!
The one thing I have not managed to be able to pull together in the kitchen is a pound cake. Every time I try I always have a different problem.

I managed to make them and they came out perfectly. I should have taken a picture.I put them on toasted Italian rolls and let people put their own toppings on them. Note to self-Rosemary and BBQ sauce...
