My Greatest Cooking TriumphBeing told by a man who raises black Angus cattle that I make a 'pretty mean steak' and having my very choosy mother-in-law call me to ask how I marinated said steak.
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterTrying to impress my girlfriend with my cooking prowess and then forgetting a pan of s'more bars in the oven; the result was a blackened mess. It's been 15 years, we're married now and she still reminds me of it every now and again.
My Food For ThoughtFollow your heart and your senses, keep it simple. Let the flavours of the foods you're preparing be the stars of the show. Use seasonings to enhance, rather than impose or replace flavour. Exceptions to this: tofu and eggplant.
