My Greatest Cooking TriumphI volunteered to cook for a special fish fry. My menu was pan fried walleye with slivered almonds, rosemary garlic red potatoes, Caesar salad, New England clam chowder made with salt pork, spiced carrots and made from scratch apple pie with real whipped cream.

Usually they serve 40 people, I served over 85 in two hours.
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterIt happened two days ago. I make chocolate fudge with walnuts using a marble slab to work it to the right consistency. My mother taught me how to make it but she always added a little salt. I also do not rely on a candy thermometer to determine when the mixture reaches soft ball stage. Instead I rely on the cold water test. That day I decided to trust a new candy thermometer. I made the hardest brick of salty fudge one could ever imagine.
