About Me
No profile added.
When I was 31 years old I started working at a very popular local deli & within 9 months I became the cook & 3 months after that I became manager over the deli & catering business. I learned SO MUCH in a very hands-on way that has served me well ever since!
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
My husband & I cooked for my nephew's wedding reception for 200 people. I also oversee my church's special events - two big events every year. It's a challenge to come with different themes each spring & coordinate a complimentary menu for our annual Mother-Daughter Dinner.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
I've had a few flops but they've luckily only been for my immediate family!
My Food For Thought
Don't be afraid to experiment with ingredients or expand on a basic recipe. When I started loosening up & adding a pinch of this & a little of that, I REALLy started having fun in my kitchen & learning so much about flavor combinations & what does & does not work together. The worst that can happen is you throw it out & order pizza!
My Interests
I love to read, write, blog, garden, enjoy nature, family get-togethers, try a new recipe:)
