My Greatest Cooking TriumphI have had more than one cooking triumph with several of the receipes I got from Taste of Home Magazine. One especially was a Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving. From the Turkey, some of the other fixings, including Dinner Rolls was a success. Deserts have been very successful...
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterWhen I was a teenager at 17, many years ago, I made a Lemon Meringue Pie out of a receipe I found in the Seventeen Magazine. The Lemon part after being cooked came out like soup...it was awful and embarrasing. The worst part is my Mother made me eat at least one piece, never figured out why, I just followed the receipe with her watching...maybe so I learn to read the receipe and ingredients and compare with other receipes to see if maybe a discrepancy in liquid would be found. I have to admit, that I careful read every ingredient and can determine if it would be too salty, sweet or not come out good.
