I am a city girl now that grew up on the farm in Nebraska! I love all things about Nebraska, it is a beautiful place to live and see if you can get yourself off I-80. I am a nurse by trade and am finishing my bachelor's degree with the ultimate goal of having my Doctorate in nursing. I love my family and I love the friends I have. I am one of those people who do not have a lot of friends, but the friends I have are like family. I love to cook and bake for them all as well!
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Making my first hallendaise sauce without breakage!!! Perfection the first time really gave me a confidence boost!
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
1.Burning Hambergers and Corn when I was first learning to cook. Dad ate every bit!!! 2. Burning T-Bone steaks on the Grill... Dale ate them still 3. Undercooked Cheesey potatoes for about 100 people at my mom's retirement party! Very embarrased.
My Food For Thought
Food is much more than sustanance, it is an expression of love. I learned to cook at a young age from my mother. I learned the basics of baking from my mother as well, but my Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers passed their baking genes on to me. I love to cook and bake for crowds of people!!!!
My Interests
Cooking, Baking, knitting, crocheting, sewing, camping, fishing, Husker Football, Packers football, and H.S. Football. I also love other sporting events, but Football is my favorite!
