About Me
No profile added.
I am 74 years old and have lived in Clinton nearly all of my life, except for 6 months in San Diego when my husband was in the Navy and 18 months in Germany on a mission for my church. I am very involved with genealogy and my family.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I think perhaps the wedding cakes I made and decorated for our daughters' weddings.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
I wanted to surprise my new husband (in 1953) by making a special dish from his mother's family. He came home from the ship and lifted the lid on the pot and said in a disgusted voice, "What's that!" His mother's family had a dish called mixed vegetables and meatballs. Sure enough, I made mixed vegetables and meatballs. She forgot to tell me that it was cooked in a tomato sauce! I cried for an hour!
My Food For Thought
If we do our best every day, things will work out - maybe not in the way we want, but in the way that is best.
