California native, raised two daughters 22 years as a single mother. Worked 35 years at a school district, several departments/schools. Retired and living with second husband of 12 years. Two daughters, two step-daughters and five grandchildren.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Everyones favorites are chicken and dumplings, corn beef and cabbage. The family and I get a charge when I go into our backyard, bring in several different colored eggs from our chickens, and fruit and vegetables from my garden, and make a great breakfast or dinner. It's all organic and homegrown.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
my first Christmas turkey, the oven was too small for my roasting pan and started on fire, luckly got it out right away.
My Food For Thought
I didn't BAKE for many years because I thought it was So Much Work and I didn't have time and thought I wasn't good - guess what, I tried again and my husband and the rest of the family love it.
