My Greatest Cooking TriumphThe joy of working with my sister and sister-in-law to cook for my Dad's 80th surprise birthday party. 110 guests. We each made a soup and a sandwhich. I made creamed turkey sanwhiches and ham and bean soup. An added triumph for me was getting tips from Gwen, an old family friend, on making this amount of bean soup in a large roaster
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterAs a young bride in my 1st marriage I set out to cook overeasy (dippy) eggs . It was important to me that I didn't break the yolks. But they kept breaking. I went through 9 eggs to get 2 unbroken yolks! He thought it was funny. I don't break them too often now but- everyone around here will have to eat any broken yolks., no do-overs
My Food For ThoughtThe hardest, yet smartest path around a problem is a walk straight through it.
