I've been married for 8 years to my DH. We have 3 wonderful kids. They are 17(DS), 8(DS), and 4(DD). During the day I'm a stay at home mom. A few nights during the week and on Saturday mornings and afternoons, I work at a home improvement store.
My first Thanksgiving at my house about 5 years ago, I was very nervous because I had never done such a big cooking project before. Everything turned out perfectly!!
One night for dinner, I made au gratin potatoes for one of the side dishes. They got done before everything else, so while my meat was resting, I turned the oven off and put the potatoes back in there to warm up. I had made quite a big dinner, so I completely forgot about the potatoes. Well, until the next day and I was preheating the oven to braise some meat and had it on 500 degrees. All of a sudden there was smoke everywhere and that's when I remembered the potatoes!!!
Life is way too short to be upset about the little things. Laugh as much as possible!!
