I am a Texas girl, with 3 cildren whoo have their own families..I have the most beautiful grand-children, 2 boys and 2 girls, from 2 to 16...they are my life and a joy, they are very lovingt children.."They make me happy, when skies are grey"
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Making tamales, and mole...My father made the best tamales I have ever eaten, he always was very patient when making them, they are very time consuming, and I remember helping him when I was around 10 yrs old..I lost him in 1994, and had not eaten any, until my son kept bugging me, and I made a batch, and my brother said,"they are so close to dad's" and that made feel sooooo good. The mole came out excellant, and this I also remember him cooking mole, and it too, was sooooooo delicious..
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Please don't laugh..My first Thanksgiving dinner, I made a ham, and felt so proud when I began the process of prep[aring it gfor baking..I rubbed all over with mustard, and place it in a roaster..the ham came in a netting wrapping, and I had pulled that off, but to my surprise when it finishe baking , I had forgot to take off the other casing it was wrapped in.. I will never forget this one.
My Food For Thought
If you cook for your family and friends with alot of love, you will be successful in anything you cook..
