I am a registered nurse. I have two bonus kids, son-14 & daughter-10, we share custody(50/50) with bio-mom. I am married to lhe love of my life and my best friend. My family are my biggest fans. They really enjoy my culinary expertise. Before I came into their lives 9 years ago all they ever ate was "hamburger helper" and fast food. They think they have died and gone to heaven. :-)
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Impressing my sisters and mother with my culinary skills. We are all good cooks, due to the patience my mother showed when teaching all of us to cook on the farm. We owe her a debt of gratitude. Love you Mom!
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Actually it involved my sister(20years ago). I was using a pressure cooker to make "porcupine meatballs". My sister decided to take the lid off while steam was spueing(sp?) from the lid. You have never seen such a mess in all your life. Meatballs and red sauce as far as the eye could see. I continued to find evidence of the episode for at least 6 months after the disaster. My sister learned a valuable lesson that day. Luckily no one was burned or injured.
My Food For Thought
Less is more. People tend to favor comfort food over some fancy dish that took hours of preparation.
