My Greatest Cooking TriumphI started a cookie-baking company, "Everyday Gourmet", and baked over 175 dozen Christmas cookies by myself my first year in business. My cookie trays were purchased by some of Pittsburgh's prominent benefactor families. It was too much for one person to handle on a continuing basis. Now I bake for special friends and charitable causes.
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterAs a young bride, I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner. So as not to poison anyone, I made my stuffing the night before and refrigerated it. I stuffed the bird Thanksgiving morning with ice-cold stuffing. Obviously, no one got sick, but my 20 lb. bird took 12 hours to roast. No one made me feel bad, but I went through A LOT of appetizers LOL!
My Food For ThoughtThere is nothing better than good food to comfort people and bring them together in good times and in bad.
