I am a special education teacher and have been in the field for 25 plus years. I'm married to husband Bill. We will celebrate 19 years of marriage at Christmas time. We have a 15 year old daughter-Heather. We have 2 dogs-a beagle named Bob, and an Australian Shephard named Max. I have 3 black cats-Trixie, Fritz, and New Guy. We haven't figured out a good name yet for the newest member of the family. He followed my daughter home from school about a month ago and literally walked right in the door.
I am probably just fortunate that I have a husband who is very complimentary about my cooking. Whenever he really likes something, he'll say, "You could sell this". When I try new recipes I always warn everyone that it is an "experiment". He eagerly tries anything new. So I'm pretty lucky in this regard. I can't really think of one outstanding meal right off hand. I do remember when we were dating, I tried to haul out all the best family recipes. One of the biggest hits was my cherry chocolate cake.
Nothing stands right out, but I've made my share of mistakes over the years. Burning something up, cooking it to death until it was all dried out, soupy sauces, lumpy potatoes, etc. Usually it can be saved. I can't recall thowing out a dinner and calling out for pizza, but you never know what the future might bring!
