I am an editor for Taste of Home Special Interest food publications. I have a great husband who loves food as much as I do and a little dachshund who begs to eat our dinners every night.
We brought my husband's cholesterol down by 23 points in three months by eating healthier, cholesterol-fighting foods. The great thing was neither of us felt hungry or like we were "dieting." We even got to enjoy a some of Milwaukee's ethnic festivals—in moderation, of course.
I always take the shaker tops off my spice jars when I buy them so it's easier to get a measuring spoon in there. Anyway, I took some spices with me to my parents' house and my mom opened my shaker of rosemary and was going to shake a bit into a marinade, but she ended up dumping half the jar in! I used a small strainer to remove quite a bit of it, but rosemary still overpowered our meal.
Life is too short to eat a bad meal.
