My Greatest Cooking TriumphMy mother makes a cake that she calls Tandycake. For you near Philadephia, it's like Tasty Cakes' Peanut Butter Kandy Kake, and dare I say, even more delicious. Since this was the first cake I ever made that didn't come out of a box, it will always hold a spot in my heart (and have space ready in my stomach).
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterI'm still learning! I have more disasters than I do successes! Hm... burnt popcorn, overdone French fries, underdone hash browns, mashed-together cookie recipes (They were on the same page!), smoke alarms... Just your average kitchen fun times!
My Food For ThoughtMy mother taught me never to substitute in a recipe. You can taste the difference—and my logic is, the happiness that results from eating something scrumptious balances out any calories that you may have saved.
