About Me
No profile added.
I have been married for 22 years to my husband, Gary. My children are Kyle, 19 and Blair, 14. Our family pet is a 2-year old Siberian Husky named Kelsey. I am a High School English Composition Assistant. I enjoy volunteering and going to the beach.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Winning several ribbons in our county fair for baking, including one blue ribbon for a bride doll cake!
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
My sister and I were making dinner for my father and brothers while our mother was in the hospital. Though I had never made scalloped potatoes by myself, I had watched my mother make them many times. Mom doesn't have written recipes for many of her everyday dishes, so I just "guesstimated" how much milk and flour to add to the sliced potatoes. It was evident that I had not added nearly enough milk, or had added far too much flour, when I began serving the potatoes. The potatoes were cooked through, but were layered with flour balls instead of the creamy sauce my mom always achieved. Twenty-five years later, I am still forbidden to make scalloped "flour-ball" potatoes.
My Food For Thought
Family and friends are the spice of life!
My Interests
Reading, the beach, and cooking, of course.
