About Me: I am 52 years old and mostly confined to a wheelchair. It is hard to cook this way, but I try to as often as possible. I may not be able to cook food, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it by cook books and reading about it.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: Hasn't happened yet,althogh my first husband used to have two things to say about my cooking. One was I could cook when I wanted to, and the other was I burnt that just right.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: I was making my husband a Crazy Chocolate Cake one of his mother's recipes. I went outside for five minutes and came in where the cake smelled like it was done which was impossible. I opened the oven door and there was cake batter everywhere. I had used Self-Rising flour instead of regular. It took me days to get all the batter out of the oven.

My Food For Thought: To quote Rachael Ray:Cooking is a celebration of all the good things we have to be thankful for in life, including kids.
