I am 74 years old. I am a retired newspaper editor/operations manager for a small town weekly. I volunteer with an animal rescue ranch (the past 2 years) and the LA sheriff's department (for about 24 years). My husband and I have been Santa and Mrs. Claus for my city for 20 years. I sing with a group called the Songbirds.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I had Christmas dinner for 42 people and everything got done at exactly the same time! Nothing burned, nothing was over or under cooked.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Made a chicken dish with black cherry pie filling for a birthday party. Turned the chicken purple. Tasted OK but I was glad that it was nighttime, so I lit candles instead of bright lights. I'll never do that again.
My Food For Thought
The friends we make on the highway of life make the trip worthwhile.
