About Me
No profile added.
My husband and I both love to travel. We have 4 grandchildren. Currently I am writing a cookbook for my family. I truely hope that someday it will be an heirloom. We live on a farm with 2 cows, 32 chickens (hens) and 4 dogs. I have always had a passion to cook and have collected recipes since I was in junior high school. My husband and I like to try new recipes when ever we can. He works at the railroad and I work seasonably at a garden center. Every year I try to learn at least one new thing per season, or at least do something at least once a year that I have never done before. This year, writing the cookbook and learning to drive a riding lawn mower so far. Each year we try to go to a new town in our state. Sometimes there is nothing there so we just keep going till we come to one we want to explore. We have found that almost each town we stop in has at least one good place to eat.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Having a new recipe turn out the way I wanted it to after working hard on it. Building a new recipe can be hard work! It's so rewarding when it comes out great and your family likes it.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Learning to can green beans. What a mess and oh phew! I called my sister for processing directions. Quarts, 10 minutes in a boiling water bath does not work! Had to dump every one of those jars. And I worked so hared on those too.
My Food For Thought
Grandma always said that it's hard to say something bad when you have a mouthful of good food.
