I TRY EVERY DAY TO REALLY ENJOY EVERY MOMENT . LIFE IS WAY TO SHORT NOT TO. LIFE IS TO SHARE WITH FAMILY AND GOOD FRIENDS LIKE ALL OF MY FRIENDS HERE IN CS. YOU ALL COMPLETE MY DAYS. SO DO EVERY THING YOU DO WITH ALL OF THE GUSTO YOU CAN . YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. THE ONLY REGRETS WE SHOULD EVER HAVE ARE THE CHANCES NOT TAKEN.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Is when a very well planned meal, like those in TOH, comes out looking exactly as the picture. Everyone enjoys it so much that they end up sitting around the table afterwards for good conversation and possibly another bottle of wine or another cup of coffee. Some of our most memorable evenings have always been after dinner.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
The first and biggest disaster I can remember was when my mom asked me to prepare the turkey for the oven, since she had to work. I was never so embarrassed as when the giblets, paper and all came out at the table. I wondered where they were. Then mom asked me to put the roast in the oven after school. She said it's easy, simply put the roast in the cooking bag and stick it in the oven. So I'm thinking WOW don't even need a pan. Well you know what happened next. I AM A BLONDE!
My Food For Thought
Next time you have a family meal, like for instance, Thanksgiving is on it's way, make this toast. May the most wonderful thing you have ever seen or experienced, be the worst you ever see or experience. Makes everyone think and always seems to bring up great memories. IF WE ARE REALLY WHAT WE EAT------- MAKE SURE IT IS YUMMY AND BEAUTIFUL.
My Interests
I LOVE TO COLLECT ALL KINDS OF RECIPE BOOKS. OF COURSE GREAT RECIPES ESPECIALLY THOSE OLD FAMILY ONES WE DON'T WANT TO VANISH, POETRY, SEWING, PAINTING CRAFTS OF ALL KINDS, WRITING ON MY BOOKS TO HOPEFULLY SOME DAY PUBLISH. MOST OF ALL JUST BEING WITH FAMILY , MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND, DEAR DAUGHTER AND GRAND DAUGHTER AND HOPEFULLY BEING AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING DRESS FOR ONE OF THEM. I GUESS I PROBABLY SHOULD START NOW.
