About Me
No profile added.
My husband and I are in the AG business manufacturing computerized equipment that feeds fertilizers thru the watering system. We were recently spotlighted in our local newspaper for our ability to grow the most fantastic back yard garden you have ever seen!!! I love to cook. I have taken two year of Chinese cooking classes and have grown up with a wide ethnic range of recipes. Cajon/Creole is another that I am fond of, But good down home barbeque or comfort foods really hit the spot as well!!! :) My mother was a baker and I remember walking home from school in the freezing rain to be greeted with loads of homemade bread and jams awaiting me for my after school snack.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Every thing that turns out well is a triumph!!! I have been cooking for 50 years but still have my ups and downs. It really depends on the recipe and I find also that just sometimes I am not in the mood to cook.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Well, I don't have many, but I remenber when I was in Chinese cooking classes. I invited some friends over for a dinner party. It was nearing Christmas and snow was on the ground. One of the recipes was Kung Pao Chicken. I poured peanut oil in the wok and heated until smoking, threw the red chilies in and.............the fumes from the red hot oil and chilies sent all my guests out in the snow coughing and spitting!!! :O
My Food For Thought
Do what you love and love what you do.
