About Me
No profile added.
Well, I was born on 11/01/1963 and raised on a farm outside of Fairmont, NE until I went away to college. I earned my practical nursing degree in 1984. I have been married twice. My first marriage ended in 2004 and we had three wonderful kids (Celeste, Tim, and Nina). I remarried in 2001 to my "soul mate." He brought into the marriage three daughters (Krystal, Amanda, and Porsche). We have 10 grandchildren (5 boys, 5 girls), which we try to spend as much time with as we possibly can. My husband and I love to ride motorcycles-yes, I have my own. We frequently take off on a "day trip" and not come home for a couple of days or so, depending on our work schedules. I have a Sheltie by the name of Sundance and a tortoise shell short hair cat name Sabrina. I began cooking in a home-town cafe when I was only 12 years old. The owner's mother, who was somewhere in her 70's taught me most everything I know. She hardly ever used a utensil to mix anything. I believe she had a German background and everything was mixed by hand and I do mean "by hand." I can remember being on a stepstool in the cafe almost armpit deep mixing potato salad with my hands. Still to this day, I chuckle everytime I think about it. I have always had a dream of going to a culinary school. But at this day in age, this, too, will always be a dream. Culinary school is so costly and I just don't have the money or the time to attend.
