My Greatest Cooking Triumphis yet to come ! my mother-in-law just passed away at age 88 and she made the BEST cabbage rolls ...my daughters and i made them with her and my daughter lauren wrote down every detail ( and there are alot of steps in this recipe ) . i am going to attempt to make these within the next month ...i'll let you know how they turn out !
My Biggest Kitchen Disasteri have been married for 32 years but i remember my first fried chicken like it was yesterday...i looked PERFECT , golden and lovely, but when my husband cut into first piece blood ran out !!! i had not learned the " lower and slower " method of cooking . i figured if it looks done ...it must be done ...lol...sure have learned some since then .
My Food For Thoughtfor each of my 4 grandsons birthdays i try to make something special , maybe a favorite soup or cookies or cupcakes . each boy has his own fav toy and hobby . for holidays i make special things such as mummy fingers ( hot dogs with almond fingernails and zombie hands frozen in the punch ) for halloween, and for thankgiving i use a vintage turkey mold and i make a chocolate turkey that they all like to take a bite out of it ! i try to create memories for my family and to make each one feel special , because they are !
