About Me
No profile added.
I am a 30 year old mom, wife, farmer and full-time student. My days are busy, full, and always FUN. Cooking is my way to unwind. I am never more relaxed than when I am in the kitchen.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Creating a pizza crust recipe that doesn't need to rise before you top it and bake it. My kids and husband like it better than the pizzas from the large chain in town or the frozen ones from the grocery store. I use the crust to make stromboli, conchoties, and bread sticks too!
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
The first time I made lasagna. I didn't have a recipe or anyone to teach me. I boiled the noodles, heated the sauce, cooked the sausage and added the herbs to the ricotta. What I DIDN'T do was add the eggs! The cheese spread really easily and I was so proud...until I served it up and the layers all slid apart into a big mess on the plates!
My Food For Thought
It's better to start teaching your children to cook when they are young but its NEVER too late! They will have a lifelong appreciation of cooking, be willing to try more new foods and you all will have lots of great memories from the times spent together in the kitchen.
