About Me
No profile added.
I'm a caregiver for senior citizens mostly. I'm always trying to find nutritious and economical recipes to whet their appetites.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Creating a meatloaf that I consider better than my Mom's (and she was a terrific cook!!)
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
My first Thanksgiving dinner. I thawed my turkey; then put it back in the refrigerator to stay fresh. When I took it out it was frozen again around the neck area. Needless to say, that part of the turkey didn't brown very well. That same year, I got a dressing recipe from a friend and the turkey ended up SWIMMING in liquid. Too much liquid, wouldn't you say? But that was forty some years ago and I think I've improved my cooking skills.
My Food For Thought
Never give up trying to put delicious meals on the table for your family. You can always learn from your mistakes
