About Me
No profile added.
I love to bake and cook. My favorite thing to bake is pies, although I do all of it. I was a school cook for years, but still had a family of six to cook for, I love trying out new recipes and I get a lot of them from Taste of Home. I have been married for 53 1/2 years. We will celebrate our 54th anniversary on August 4 th. I have four children and love to cook for them, even tho they are are all out of the house. We have dinners at church and I look for any kinds of new recipes that I can take.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Fixing Holiday dinners for my family evry year. I believe that family comes first.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
I made homemade rolls and thought that I would put them out on the porch in the sun so that they would rise faster. The sun partially baked them. I had to throw them all away.
My Food For Thought
Even though you are a new bride who does not know know how to boil water with time and good cookbooks, you will become a great cook. Never give up. Practice is the key to cooking.Always follow the recipe exactly. Use the exact ingredients that it calls for, do not substitute.
