My Greatest Cooking TriumphHonestly I think it was the first time I made cream puffs. I was either 9 or 10 years old and it was one of the very first things I baked by myself. I still have a vague memory that I had seen Julia Child make it on PBS and thought that it looked absolutely yummy. My mother handed me the big red plaid Betty Crocker cookbook and left me alone in the kitchen. My mother had taught me kitchen safety so that she could let me bake alone. To this day it is one of my fathers favorite treats and no matter where he gets them from he still insists his little girls' are the best.
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterA few years ago we bought a box of Angel Food, Angel Food is a box of miscellaneous food that is generally sold through church's. Usually a few recipes come with the box using items in the box. So there was a broccoli chicken and rice dish using the chicken nuggets in the box and what I thought was frozen chopped broccoli. Turns out the bag was spinach, my husband is a big cooked spinach hater...
