My Greatest Cooking TriumphWhen I cook at work we feed 100s daily. It is great to have people enjoy the food that you made, but I am also responsible for feeding the patients and fitting their special diet needs. I love that we assist the hospital staff in ensuring that our patients have the diet they need to regain optimal health.
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterWhen taking a college speech class we did a group speech on Ireland, I had the cooking portion of the speech, the night before my computer crashed and wiped out my entire portion of the 30 minute speech. My 14 year old daughter volunteered to cook the scones while I reconstructed my speech. I jumped up the next morning grabbed the basket and delivered the speech. I headed home and reached in the basket to taste a scone, they tasted like soap! She had switched the baking soda with baking powder, the crazy part was my class ate them and loved them! I was just relieved it was the final & I'd never have to see them again...
My Food For ThoughtI have a quote over my kitchen sink, "To do carefully, constantly and kindly many little things; is not a little thing." I believe it is those little things we do for our family and friends that add up to a life well lived.
