My Greatest Cooking TriumphCatering a wedding recepton for my stepson of 50 people at home (small house and rainy and very hot weather (outside tables could not be used - no air conditioning. BUT did it and did it well.
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterChristmas dinner with turkey and all the trimmings with apx 20 people for dinner. Everything was done except for the gravy. Took the container of poured off liquid from the bird out of the fridge to expand the liquid. However, one of my boys had (unknow to me) broken open a condensed orange juice container by mistake and not knowing what to do with it, and not wanting to tell me about it, put it into a container and put it in the fridge. Guess which container I poured into the gravy pot. You got it. Now I am not a taster so I made the gravy and served it. Usually my gravy is a success but the faces being made were very readable. Something was very wrong. I soon found out when I started eating YUCK - and we had all poured gravy on our meals.
