About Me
No profile added.
I love to bake, especially at christmas time, you really get to show off you talent with cookies by the platter, cakes and pies. I also enjoy cooking lighter, healthier menus these days, as we are getting older, we can't eat the same foods we used to . We limit red meat, to less than 1 time per week, and have to watch our cholesterol intake as well as sugars and salts, and fats. Over 50 you have to be careful about what you eat.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I learned how to make my mom's seasoned Yorkshire pudding
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Trying to make biscuits when I was new to cooking, I had no idea what I was doing and they came out like hockey pucks, since then with time and alot more knowledge of cooking I've learned to make them properly.
My Food For Thought
A quote from my mom stays with me to this day when I cook. You can always add but you can't take out. Less is more in some cases.
