My Food For ThoughtI am very distressed TASTE of HOME appears to have little regard for Sustainable Seafood,, in that the 2011 May Issue gave an award and recommended an ORANGE ROUGHY recipe,,as well as listing 8 other Orange Roughy recipes they endorsed. This Fish species has been so Depleted that current estimates are less than 15% remain and may not survive into the future. This fish lives in excess of 60 years and doesn't breed till age 15,, allowing commercial fisheries to remove juvenile . The shame is a very plentiful alternative is available in MAHI MAHI. Speak up , as Foodies we should be active in supporting Sustainable stocks only ., Look at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium website for a list of Sustainable seafood, and those that need our help.
