About Me
No profile added.
I met and married my husband two years ago. We are in our mid-40's, marrying for the first time. I moved from Southern California to Central Valley to live on a ranch, and now I have the opportunity to indulge in my heart's desire to have a garden and to can the produce. Cooking and baking have been a part of my life since I was 11, and they are my pleasures and my hobbies. Folks have always appreciated the gift of food.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I planned, cooked and served my first formal Thanksgiving meal (for 15, no less!) when I was 14. The jello salad was a bit soupy, but no one objected...they just ladled it into bowls LOL.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
The first dinner I made for my dad and myself was hamburger casserole from memory. For some reason, it didn't cross my mind to boil the macaroni first before mixing the ingredients together LOL. First cooking lessons learned: Read the directions first, use a recipe until you learn the basics, and try something simple the first time you cook LOL.
