Married for 8 years, no children, but MANY animals!!!! We tend to take in ANY kind of animal that needs a home...I have a 700 pound PET pig, that came to the local animal shelter after it fell off a truck on the way to market. He was less than a year old then...he's now 5 years old and more spoiled than most kids. He has a 2-car "garage" building all to himself & gets a heat lamp in the winter. We also have 5 dogs, 2 cats, 2 chickens and a canary. My husband & I belong to the Patriot Guard Riders (honoring soldiers & veterans) & like to take motorcycle rides all over Iowa.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I have FINALLY learned to write down recipes when I make something I really like. I usually use 2 or 3 recipes books to make one thing (taking ideas out of each book) & adjust as I go.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Fried Rice!!!!!!!! I made it when I was about 15 years old and the recipe I used didn't say anything about using leftover rice. I used freshly made rice & my fried rice could have been used for wallpaper paste!!!! I haven't made it since :0)
My Food For Thought
I'll try almost any kind of food once, you never know...you may discover that you LOVE it. (if not...spit it out!!!)
