My Greatest Cooking TriumphI have mastered my grandma's roast, rice, and gravy! (some even say mine's better, shhh!)
My Biggest Kitchen DisasterI decided to make a HUGE pot of chicken and dumplin's one night and after everything was cooked, I thickened it with some corn starch and milk. I let it heat to a low boil stirred it and thought I had turned it off.... when I came back from changing the laundry my pot of dumplin's was starting to cook over the side and the bottom was burnt to a crisp!!! I'll never forget how bad that stuff smells when it burns..... I was so upset over how much food I wasted that it took me several months before I tried cooking it again.
