About Me
No profile added.
My name is Rachel and I've been married since April 2007. We have four dogs: two Chihuahuas and two rescues that are chihuahua mixes (we think). We also have one son, and he's the most amazing kid on the planet! I'm currently going to school for my Bachelor's in English. I love writing, so I hope to be a writer someday.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I would have to say that my greatest triumph would be the first Thanksgiving my husband and I had at our home. Though it was only the two of us, I made a whole turkey with all the trimmings, according to my grandpa's recipe. It all came out perfect, and I just had to call my grandpa and brag all about it. My husband raved and ever since then, we've been having our own Thanksgiving just the two of us after we visit our families.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
My biggest kitchen disaster is definitely the time I attempted my grandmother's 'fool-proof' pie crust recipe. It fell apart no matter how much water I added, and I ended up having to piece it together into the pie pan. It came out tasting okay, it was just a good thing that I wasn't planning on serving it to guests, because it looked like someone had taken a few forks to it already!
My Food For Thought
Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe, we are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made.
My Interests
I LOVE cooking, and I'm always trying new recipes. I also love my dogs, my son, writing, listening to music, and working out. I try to work out 4-5 days a week.
