My Biggest Kitchen DisasterWhen very young, about 12 years old, I was asked to prepare a pheasant for dinner by plucking the feathers. My father said to "put it boiling water , then pluck the feathers out". Well, I boiled the water, put the pheasant in and i I mention it had not been gutted nor had I been instructed on the time frame? Yes, you guessed it! I cooked the pheasant, guts, feathers, and the bird. It was disgusting and smelled so bad! Yuck. I have never cooked or eaten a pheasant since!
