My Biggest Kitchen DisasterMy first time makeing a pecan pie all by myself @ age 15. I pricked the bottom of the pie shell before adding the filling and then baked it. As I had always seen my grandmother do with her pies -which were generally choc. & lemon meringue and pre baked which I didn't think about. It tasted fine but it wound up with the pecan layer then the crust and then the other part of the filling on the bottom. We all had a good laught out of that one.
