Retired Engineer, have cooked for trail rides, chuck wagons and camps for years, On my 70th birthday, i retired from active partisapation, but I still go on the trail rides and camp outs. you might say, I am an advisor/consultant in the kitchen.
I assisted in a crab feast at our riding club. We served over 500 guests' the menu was: Crab soup< Steamed Maryland Crabs, Pit beef, ham and turkey, lots of salads and deserts
I cooked at the Boy Scout camp one summer. One morning I misread the menu and prepared six gallons of french toast batter{eggs,Milk, sugar and cinnamon. When I realized that I didn't have any bread, I reread the morning menu and I was supposed to serve scrambled eggs that mornig. I ended up sending one of my assistants to the store for enouigh b read to feed the Scouts that morning. I paid for the bread and no one was the wiser
Even a broken watch is right two times a day.
