Hello Taste of Home! I'm just a single gal that loves to cook and loves to eat. I guess you could say I'm here for the party. ;-)
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Hmmmm...that would probably have to be my mastery of an Indian recipe of Dal that was just disastrous at first. I worked in a very busy restaurant in a national park for a summer and got very little help on this. It was touch and go until a very critical (god bless them) Indian family let it be known my dish was completely wrong. After messing around and tweaking my technique it finally turned out to be one of the best things I've ever made. The best part was when a gentleman from California left a comment card saying it was the best Dal he'd ever had-better even than his favorite vegetarian restaurant back home. Yea!!
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Prime Rib...I needed a mentor. I still need one on this. :-)
My Food For Thought
Eat, drink, and be merry!
