About Me
No profile added.
Divorced since 1989, two grown children, three grandchildren. My mother was the domestic goddess in my life and I simply didn't inherit that portion of her DNA. I began doing more cooking after moving in with her as her caregiver. Because of that, I'm more comfortable with cooking than I used to be. I love finding new recipes that are simple and basic yet taste like I spent hours on them!
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Learning that I could use tortillas cut into strips when making chicken potpie/chicken and dumplings (depends on where you live which name it's called). My mother was the queen of making this - I mean, she'd use 7 cups of flour to make her dough, so you KNOW she made a lot and there was only 3 of us!! Well, it turned out so good, she had three helpings and has been telling everyone who likes it to buy tortillas and use them because it's as good as home made, but easier and cheaper!! I was never able to make dough as good as hers - now I don't ever have to try again!!
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Which one? I'll have to add to this later when I can sort them out. LOL
My Food For Thought
If we are what we eat, does that mean I'm cheap and easy?
