    Anise has a wonderful flavor. Here's a great cooking recipe using anise extract. But, as the others suggested, start with a small batch to see if you like the taste. COOKIES: 4 eggs 2 c. sugar 6 c. flour 1 c. milk 3/4 c. Crisco oil 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. anise extract 6 tbsp. baking powder FROSTING...

    laura, I've never had the scones you're talking about, and mine are probably not like them - I don't consider them to be of consisteny close to a cookie...I can't quite wrap my brain around a scone similar to a cookie. The recipe I've developed isn't a typical scone in my opinion...

  • Pennsylvania farmers market cinnamon rolls

    Around 1970, we used to go to the Pennsylvania Dutch Farmer's Market in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to get the best cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted. There was a booth at the Farmer's Market that sold them, and they were homemade by an Amish family. Would anyone have that recipe?
