I'm the editor for Taste of Home Healthy Cooking and Taste of Home Simple & Delicious. I love to eat, but I also love to cook--especially for other people! Baking seems to be my favorite thing to do, but I also love to try out new recipes I find on tasteofhome.com. In my spare time, I also teach figure skating and compete as an amateur ballroom dancer.
My greatest cooking triumph happened when I overheard my 90-year-old grandmother tell my mom that I had become a great cook. Grandma was an excellent cook, so it really made me smile. The recipe I made that day came from Taste of Home, so I have our community of fabulous cooks to thank!
My biggest kitchen disaster occurred shortly after I bought my house. One night, I decided to bake some squash. The oven is over 20 years old, and it's functional, but it didn't seem to seal that well. So I fiddled with it and somehow got it locked--with my squash baking away in it! It took me about two days to get that oven unlocked. Needless to say, the squash didn't smell that good!
"One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating." --Luciano Pavarotti
